One of my best friends David Morrill was practicing his serve one day. I grabbed my camera, and went to work on his shoes. I used Saturation and took out all colors except for the Blue for his shoes. Unfortunately I couldn't make just his shoes blue, but I am still pleased with the final image.

Clever idea. The foreground part of the shot is well executed. The BG is a bit cluttered and boring. Maybe a recieving player up the other end to balance out the shot may have added interest. Keep up your original concepts.

I am wondering if this followed the basic editing rules for selection? Since I don't know, I won't judge on that part. Photo seemsto lack something to really keep your interest. Maybe if other player was blurred in background.

desat dont work here.

this is a terrific concept! So close to excellent. If you could have worked it a little more so the chain link wasn't there, just the court, maybe a hint of net, and this great selective desat I'd give you the 10. The visual distraction is too much to overcome in this photo though. Great concept though! Excellent vision.

Nice action shot. But the partially blue shadow takes away from the overall flow.

I love the blue.

The whole left hand side of the picture is superfluous, and is much stronger without it. In fact the bottom right 1/4 of the pic (the shoes and shadow) are all that's needed.

IMO, would be much better cropped down to just the shadow and the shoes and a bit of the court

Nice colours combination, interesting picture, although the shadow looks blue over the white line, that is a weak point I find, anyway I like the picture.

I like this shot I would also like to have seen more of the shadow - but then the focus would be off the shoes. I also like the selective desat. 6

I love how a segment of the white line is blue in the shadow. I think the photo would be much better if it was cropped or blurred to just show that part (the shoes and the blue-white-line-shadow thing). The background is too busy.

Cool photo! Love how the main focus of color in this photo is the blue. And what an electric color of blue it is. I like how the colors of the legs and court are washed out. I wish the legs had been a bit more in focus. I do love the effect that the shoe has on the white stripe! Nice shadow also.

nice blue - especially the blue part of the white line; well done;
i would have have cropped more on the left side to center the shoes
