Mount Rainier is awesome... nice place to be in July/August.

Actually the light is just like this. You can see from the color version (another photo) that the light is bright on top. The sun is covered with mists and clouds at this elevation (i.e. the cloud level is this low, around 4000 ft above sea level), and there was a break in the cloud, thus the high exposure on top of the scene.

I thought that color was a major factor of this shot, but this duotone works really well for me.
