My work shoes, my Fiathful Servants. And only 2 years old. A new pair is already on order. Post processing : tonal levels, color correction, re-size and sharpen.

Had this image been larger, you'd have placed higher, IMHO. I love the texture and the "feel" of this shot. :)

Always try for at least 500 pxl minimum so you do not suffer from getting voted down for posting images that ae too small for the viewer to take a good look at the photo. It appears the image may have been oversharpened.

A bit out of focus (at least on my screen), and the lighting seems a little harsh, but I like the angle you chose to shoot from.

Ah, this picture could have been so much more. It looks like some inherent blur as well as possible compression or sharpening artifacts. All detract from the wonderful texture and feel of these old boots. You'll also get slammed because you sized it too small, but that wouldn't be as much of a problem if the photo was crisper and better processed.

Strange cropping, either ease back and show us the whole boots, or move in for a macro shot picking out the laces, or texture or something on the boots.
