 I wasn't planning to do anything for this challenge, but then I remembered my friend's brand-new, incredibly red mountain biking shoes. The bike's belongs to another friend, a Rhygin with the wickedest fade paint-job you've ever seen.

The frozen + blurred image is thanks to my new Canon EX 580 flash: this is taken in bright daylight with a quarter sec shutter (hence the motion blur), but the flash is even brighter and freezes the image just before the shutter closes.

Very cool shot! I love the shoe. The motion is excellent, as is the tight crop. Really surprised it didn't do better in the challenge, but I'm learning that the ones I like aren't necessarily the ones everyone else likes. Not necessarily a bad thing, either.

Nice, love the motion blur, you presumably used a second curtain flash for this, if you did, nice job on the lighting as I cant make out any harsh glare in the shiny leather on the shoe. 7 from me.

Great action shot. The long exposure works really well. Good composition too, just enough of the bike in the frame. Good depth of field too
