Reminds me of Harry Potter, even has that effect of the mystical powers which was created with the softness in the image.

The composition is wonderful there is so much to look at. The structures make you think of a kindom in a fairytale and with the dreaminess it does have that effect about it. However at the same time that dreaminess seems a bit overdone on the structures and yet the tree is overly sharp compared to the rest of the image and becomes a distracting element to the rest of the composition.

Also you have a black spot up at the top that would be easily cropped out, possibly something simply overlooked.

It does have a wonderful dreamy feel to it overall. Keep up the good work.

this is a great shot. I'm not fond of this dreamy effect though..it looks a bit over NI'd.

Very nice architecture. THe sky is a little ominous, it would be cooler if it was darker. Nice job keeping everything in this picture focued. It wouldn't look right if something was out of focus here. A shallow DOF would've left the foreground blurry as heck and that's never good. I don't really like the houses in front too much. I think it would've been more effective to just get the big building. If the big building were up a little higher and looked more menacing, then I think it would be good to have the couple houses there so show relative size. - Bob

beautiful, soft quality to this photo. wonderful perspective. my only complaint is the bird (?) at the top. it's not really definable as a bird, so it just looks like a dark spot and is a little distracting.

This looks like a pic of the same scene from 100 years ago. If this appeared at the beginning of a movie, I'd expect it to colorize any second and started the movie. Nice job overall. It seems a little low contrast.

Do you mean "Lancing College?" as in university? Anyway, really nice photo. composition is marvelous, and I'd love to know how you got that special "glow" about everything. I wanted that in a recent challenge, and did not succeed. boo hoo.

Hrm. I know the focus artifacts in this are probably on purpose, but I find them incredibly distracting. It draws the eye to the bush in front and drops it there (and I doubt the bush was your intended center of attention). 6, but coulda been 8.
