| Very witty, and original take on the theme, however the nitty gritty technical aspects of the photography let this down. My eyes were finding it difficult to focus on anything here, and perhaps a wide-angle approach could have married the 2 elements and strengthened the illusion they're in the same plane. |

| This could have been like (yawn) so many other shots in this challenge that merely placed a shoe in front of a camera, but the inclusion of the portion of the owner's face, seemingly bewildered by the fact that someone would take this picture, adds so much more to the shot. We see who it is that benefits from this shoe, which in turn forces us to better appreciate the shoe itself. We can also speculate on why he appears mildly startled at having this photo made. I am giving this a 9 for creative conceptualization and putting it in my top ten for this week. |
