I'd guessed JJ, too (Chris Shipman beat me again). Should have known. |

I've already done three 10's (my record) so this has to be a 10 point 5. Contrasts abound ... light, tone, texture, weight, structure, exposure, processing and of course composition; all have got bags of contrast. Of these, it's the composition that's most impressive ... what looks at first like a casual, serendipitous city scene has actually been meticulously assembled and ordered with the eye of an artist. |

good contrast shot. i really like how the man's shadow is a mini version of the black wall. i'm uncomfortable with the shot not really leading down to anything, because i easily find myself drawn past the subject due to your angle |

Dark vs light balances out almost great here. Just a tad too much bright on the body. Composition is awesome. Feels like a JJBeguin. 8 |

Almost overwhelming in its contrasts. I think you've captured the entire range from black to white. Nice use of the light and great focus, I do find the intensity of the contrast in this image to be a bit off-putting, though I know that was the point of the challenge. I gave a 6 |

This reminds me of the work of e301. Very well done. The composition of the structure has great geometry and lighting (including the part in shadow), and the subject adds a point of interest. The stairs have a great textural feel, too. |

What a fantastic use of strong light and shadow combined with high contrast processing. Excellent composition aided by unusual viewpoint and strong architectural lines. Love it! |

Nice mix of human and man made. I love the simplicity of it. Perfect high contrast too. |
