 Taken on the roof of Gaudi's Casa Mila, also known as "La Pedrera" in Barcelona. I didn't know about the challenge when I took it, but I think it fits pretty well... mainly the contrast between the bright and shadowed areas of the sculpture.

Editted in Paintshop Pro:

*Cropped out buildings at the bottom of the frame(was going to leave them in for persepctive but decided they were a distraction).

*fiddled with levels, curves, etc. to make the colours a little brighter, but without wanting to artificially increase the contrast.


Can't see this doing very well, but I haven't entered a challenge for a while, so we'll see what happens :-)

Love the shadows, lines, and unusual shapes. The contrast is very well demonstrated. A little bit over-sharp, but otherwise a nice shot.

Good contrasting colors. I like the item on the left, but the one on the right is slightly overpowering, for me - like it's trying to..."push" the other object out of the photo. (Sorry, not all that great at the techincal critiques).

Beautiful lines. Looks a tad oversharpened and I think you could have bumped up the tones a bit more.

Barcelona's one of my favorite cities and Gaudi one of my favorite architects. Well done. I think he would be proud.
