I'm not that great on techincal comments, but for me, there isn't a lot of high contrast compared to other photos submitted in this challenge. Seems overly filtered in a photo editing program.

I like the shot but it looks a bit over processed, and noy really my idea of high contrast

I didn't really see the contrast here. sorry.....

Over sharpened, you can see a line between the light and dark points, as between the mans leg and the concrete or bricks

it is actually low contrast, and is oversharpened - white halo around dark areas (was proabably a bit blurry originally?)

High contrast? Only thing I see is a dark photo.

In the darkness, the photo protrays sorrow. Composition very well done. Looks a tad oversharpened.

I'm not sure what contrasts you are going for with this image - it appears to have a grittiness to it that may be attributed to actually boosting the contrast on the photo though. I think its a decent photojournalistic type image, it can definitely tell a story. The colors are a bit muted but the composition is good. I gave a 5.

Interesting shot and subject matter, but is it worth asking whether high contrast actually benefitted the photo overall?

I like the subject matter and emotion in this, but it doesn't seem to have enough contrast for the challenge...IMO.

too dark. f lightened up the contrast would be more apparent. Good subject.

I was expecting to see brighter whites (or colors) to contrast with some dark blacks. In this image I see some good dark colors... but nothing that really approaches white.
