For me, your background is too grey and muted, although your vase has contrast. I wonder if cropping it in more from the left hand side, making the object off-centered, would help? |

I think the light source in the left is a bit distracting. Also, focus feels very soft, and the "high constrast" is lacking a bit. |

horizon is a bit off
definition of the art on the vase is to blown out to capture what the object was
the vase seems to be reflecting the background which gives a mottled apperance

Reasonable pic of a vase, I dislike the noise in the background and the loss of detail on the flower
High contrast is achieved by combining red/cyan OR (deep)blue/yellow OR green/magenta OR for the ultimate high contrast, black/white. Yours is a mix of black with several mid order grays and very little white. |
