Coming back from an Cross Country meet, and took this over a fence (cropped out from the right side) at a rest stop.

Some nice areas of contrast, but the background and sky are so very similar. For me, that tones down the overall effect.

This has great lines and certainly meets the challenge with high contrast. The thing I like most about this shot is the fact that the road looks like it's a 2-dimensional paper thin flat surface floating in the air held up by the white posts. Very cool shot. Bumping up.

Dodge and burn that sky a little, and you would have a totally Icelandic-style shot here, Zoom. : )

Seriously, I think this is a wonderful b&w, focus is right on, the light is perfect-o, it's a kind of mysterious-feeling image...

Dare I say that this is one of the best b&w shots I've seen from you? : )
