I like the perspective. Some nice areas of contrast and some areas of similar grayscale values such as the sky and immediate foreground. |

Good composition and sense of scale. Also a great use of DOF to make sure everything from foreground to background was sharp...9 |

Strong subject and lovely detail. I'd like to have seen more sky than grass though and a touch more of the left side near the shadow's tip. |

Great shot! Visually very appealing, good contrasts & focus, interesting sky, and very artistic crop. Nice work. |

I like the stone henge sense of this. Nice shadow and light. I think it could actually have more contrast, but the composition and the overall effect is quite nice. |

I usually like B&W photo but this one just doesn't do anything for me. I'm not sure if its the subject or the shadows but I'm not fond of it either way. I think it fits the challenge well. I figured out what it is... The positioning of the rock is distracting. The front one being more ground then sky and a little to close to the rock as well. It just gives an unbalanced feel to the photo. Actually that alone gives it more appeal. The rock in the middle also has a silohouette of a person standing there with a combatant stance. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7> |

I love the composition, and how you kept the detail on both the lit and shadowed sides of the rock. The sky looks too editted on my monitor - lines where the colour gets lighter. |

I really really like this shot but something is bothering me about the "weight" of this photo. Nonetheless it is a fine example of High Contrast. |
