Greetings from the Critique Club
Tooooooooo much! This was too good to do much better than it did. The tonal range doesn't skip from black to white. There are SO many greys and shades of grey in here. You didn't make an all-black, all white, so you were bound to be voted down.
The composition of this shot is stellar and the two lines tie it together very well. The only beef is the tonal range. Good sharpness! I like the shot - just not for this challenge.
happy shooting,
Matt |

I like the contrast of the building, but there's something about the sky I can't quite put my finger on. |

nice contrast, but too much noise in the sky distracts a bit. |

great use of contrast to set a real brooding mood. The industrial subject fits high contrast as well. 9 |

Why would anyone want to mix old concrete?
Some good contrasts - a less busy sky may have been more helpful for this challenge. |

The emotion in the sky is amazing. I like the composition and the exposure, although for preference I would have liked to see more of the ground. Cracking! |

Nice industrial feeling against the cloudy sky. Nicely done! Great contrast - certainly suits the challenge. |

there is a ton of noise or grain in this shot. The dark in the bottom middle part of the frame areway blown out and there aren't many light points in the frame compaird to the number of dark points. Great try though, go back and fix the noise problem and your scores will improve a lot |
