**Greetings from the Critique Club!**
The second thing I do when I take a photo for a challenge (the first is think up something that will fit the challenge) is think of something that will be interesting. You really have something with this interesting chandelier, and it fits the challenge. On the other hand, the composition could use some work. I can imagine how difficult it is to photograph something on your ceiling, but I think a different angle along with less of a centered composition could have helped this out a lot. The shadows (presumably caused by a flash), are so dark that they take away from the interesting curves of the fixture. After all, those curves are what make the object, and they should be enhanced.
Overall, the subject is great, and fits the challenge, focus is good, and it's a clear, clean photo. I would just work with your composition and lighting a little more. Good luck!

Nice idea and the shadows add to the interesting comp but the focus seems a little soft. |

Unique perspective. I looked at it for a long time and finally did see what looked like a head with many branches. Focus was a bit soft, though the patina on the candle sconces was well done. Overall, I see more of an image of a sheepdog rather than a gorgon. See the jowel on the bottom, and the rounded mouth with a nose in the middle? The image could be many things. |

Nice shot. I like the lines, and the shadows are very effective. I wish the wall was a bit whiter, though. Nice job! |

Nicely composed, and I like the shadows. In the end, however, it's not particularly interesting to me. Maybe more contrast or a different angle would have made it so ... |

OK, I guess it fits the challenge but I don't find it interesting. |

Poor lighting making the shadows awkward andcould have done with getting on a ladder and focusing on one of the 'branches' of the structure to fulfill the brief. |

interesting take on the challenge. this could be a very good photo without those awful shadows from the flash. |

A very pretty light fixture, and I can see the relevence to branch. I just don't think it is a photo. Maybe if you would of drawn up closer, and gave it an abstract feeling I could of rated it higher, but it doesn't work for me in anyway. |

Interesting. Not sure how this relates to branch, but I'll accept it as you saw the connection. The subject and POV are interesting, DOF good for the image, but I think the lighting leaves a little to be desired. I will assume you tried with the lights on and it didn't work so I really can't say what else to try. |
