WOW! OMG I can't believe HOW LOW this finished :( This was one of the best shots of the week. I was your 10, and unfortunately only one! :(

Way cool shot! It works for me!

Inasmuch as the tone on this is good, the choice of focus does nothing for me. Either more on the guitarist, or a different angle showing more of the guitar, would have been preferable to me.

Or the Guitartst's Head?

i love the perpective here. wonderful DOF and tones. well done!

I expect you are getting lots of comments about how the DOF is too shallow, but I like it and think it works very well :)

This is a cool concept. I would have executed it differently though. I think the dof is slightly too shallow. The only point of sharp focus is the knob on the bottom third of the picture. That cord sticking out is hugely distracting as well. I like that you've included the guitarist in the image even though I would have photographed him playing rather than looking at the camera. (just a personal preference) All in all I like this shot

I usually like big DOF shots, but I am not so sure it works on this shot. Also, the bits of string sticking out from the head are quite distracting, especially the one by the guitarist's face.

This is a picture that's been on my mind all day. It hit me what it is about it that I would have like to see different. It may be a pre-conception from prior pictures, but hear me out... I think I would like this photo better if the man's left hand were on the fretboard and focused rather than on his instrument. I think that for a couple of reasons. #1 - I think that the focus should be on the musician, not the instrument. Just seems like it should be that way to me unless this was a very noteworthy guitar like BB King's Lucille or EVHs 5150 Guitar. #2 - It would keep the musician sort of focused and not quite so blurry. This looks like it could be Ashton Kutcher from That 70's Show. Good luck with this one. It does have some appeal. I don't want you to think that I hate it. I play the guitar myself :)

I like your use of shallow depth of field here. Very dramatic.

I love the way you focussed this photograph - it really leads the eye into the picture. great job.

Ahhh, DOF at it finest. I only wish he had cut that string first. Also wish he was looking at the guitar. Oh well, minor nits, awesome shot as is.

Super perspective. I, for one, love these kind of shallow DOF shots. Great job. Jacko. 9

The focus seems too minimal and I want to either see the player better or not at all.

This is kind of cool... I like the DOF you used here, makes for a very interesting photo that could have been quite plain. Nice job getting down and really trying different angles on the subject. The sepia gives it an old time look.

This screams to me "10!!!!" It is also one of those pictures that will not do so well on dpc...good luck, I'm pulling for this image. It's stunning focus highlights a wonderful composition. If I were to change anything, I'd make the face of the guitar more oblique so that you could see "down the length of it." That's about it. 10.
