Critique Club:

Initial: great texture.

Composition: This is pretty straight forward. It is documenting a pine cone.

Technical: Focus and clarity is very nice...it does tend to make it stand right out of the frame, and the lighting adds to the 3D effect, so that is done very well.. only suggestion I would make is to use a reflector to fill in the shadows within the pine cone if possible. Use of duotone is done effectively.

Emotive? Not really. Interesting? Limited.

Interesting image.... the detail in the pine cone is quite interesting.... I find the white background a little stark though.... I might have cropped tighter and not had the entire shape in the frame.... just my 2 cents worth... good luck, Todd.
