Greetings from the Critique Club
If this image was in a modern art museum, people would be Ahhh-ing and Ohhh-ing over it.
It is original, uses interesting colors and tells a story. It is unfortunate that the voters saw what they considered "technical lapses" instead of the story-telling aspect. You EXIF data and your photographers comments tell me you achieved exactly what you wanted to achieve.
While I think you have an original photographic mind, for DPC it might be worthwhile to try more realistic/conventional images - if you want to score higher.
I, for one, will look forward to seeing your further contributions to DPC, whatever the road you choose to travel. |

The dof and composition in this are confusing, though it's on topic. The colors seem odd and the exposure is blown out without details to retain my interest. |

Moody and mysterious. Probably just as you planned it. It worked! |

The foreground is too distracting for me. |

Strange colour, maybe push the colour a bit more with hue and saturation to bring out the odd pinkness in the sky? Seems to work with the purple CA on the grass.
I'm afraid I can't say I like the picture much though, sorry. |

Interesting idea. I think it would have been more successful had you been lying closerto a branch (or if the foreground is a branch, it should have been in focus). |

I see grass and a tree with a forked trunk...Sorry but I dont really understand what you're trying to do here. |

not sure where this is going. Forked tree but blocked by blades of grass? |

I feel this already enigmatic photo suffers from odd choices made in post-processing. The sky has become quite oddly pink and the blue fringing attracts attention. These color shifts could add interest to an already strong photo with a well-defined subject, just not this one. |

object in foreground is only taking away from this shot |

Is this the only branch you could find? |

Isn't your title part of a song??? I don't know...It's really neat though, I like how the branches in front are out of focus and yet you can see the tree clearly. Very nice. |

I find the forground very distracting. Overall the wall and tree do not provide enough focus to keep me in the picture. I do like the dreamy coloring. 3 |

I like the coloring but I dont' like how the thing up close isnt in focus but then the thing far away is. It is a little distracting. |

I really dont like the colors! It seems a little bit overcontrasted and there is way to much going on for my taste! But yet its a neat idea! |

Nothing interesting here to focus on. Blurry and confusing. |

The grass close up is distracting, but the colors are amazing. Wish the brush was out of the way of the lens. Nice Job. |

Don't know if it was intentional, but this title is also lyrics to a song by a band called Fall Out Boy. The song is Sugar We're Going Down. LOL. |

the branches in the front are too blurry to make out the picture, IMO. It probably would have worked better if the background was blurry and the foreground had the tree that you wanted to take. |
