 A friend of ours with her mom outside of preschool. Taken as a spur of the moment snapshot and I just fell in love with this image (so did they).

PS Work:
Cropped.
LAYERS:
-Duplicate layered.
-Selective color layer to bring out darker tones in the whites.
-Hue/Saturation, desat slightly master & add a bit of red saturation.
-Softened up the mom's face by Neat Imaging her face only

Framed image.
Saved for web (on that note I am still suffering color loss issues when I save in JPEG despite changing a million settings within PS).

What a great capture and wonderful composition. I like the soft feel of this photo and the subtle lighting but perhaps just a bit more lighting and contrast to highlight features like strands of hair or the eyes? I feel like I'm contradicting myself :) Don't listen to me!

Nice photo. I love the way the subjects fill the frame. You also captured the mood very well. You should lose the border. Doesn't really add anything.

The best thing about this picture is th genuine emotion that comes through. The depth is strong. I'd like to see a litlle better light on Mom (?) and perhaps a bit better focuson her. Still, a wonderful portrait.

love the composition and soft lighting....but the area of focus seems to be on the adult's nose/eye area and not the child...who is the main subject

beautifull shot, shame it is so soft. you nailed the mom's eye but the girl is not quite in the plane. If not for that I would guess a ribbon was comming.

if the focal plane was just a bit further back on her eyes instead of her hair, this would be flawless. i would like to see it in b/w too.

Beautiful, heart warming, tender. I'm sure there are many more adjectives that suit this image. I hope to see it near the top!

you have to be careful with moms and their neck lines. They don't like to see them and they are really noticable in this shot. However, it is a nice moment.

very nice dialogue between the two models. i can't say i like the border tho. I would perhaps also like a little more contrast in the image. it doesn't seem that the whites or blacks are totally 'there'... great image tho.
