I sat perched on a rock with the waves crashing over the edge practically getting me wet. The sun had set about 10 minutes prior to the shot. It left a really nice tone in the streaking clouds. I chose portrait format to capture the never ending pounding ocean banging against the rocks and the great color in the sky. Also, I made a point to capture the light as it made its rounds to warn fisherman of the rocky shoreline.

This is so elegant, so delicate and so beautiful as it simply steals away the viewers senses. Congratulations on your top ten finish.

Wow... this is an AMAZING capture of beavertail. The colors and use of long exposure to smooth the water really look great in this picture. I work not far from here so I am going to have to try and get a few picture of it also. Good to see another RI photographer on here!

That Acadia national Park? Canon 10-22mm? jejejeĆ¢„Ā¢ One wonders if the processing coulkd have been a tad more luminous, but a very strong entry rgardless.

Great landscape, the water gives it a wonderful alfred Hitchcock creept feel. Love it, but not for perspective.

The cool blues and lavenders are wonderful compliments to each other. I like that single tiny beacon of light from the lighthouse. The rocks are great contrast to the smooth movement of the water. Really well done.

The is a beautiful photo, and the name "Beavertail" doesn't match it at all. Oh well. So it goes. Anyway...very nice.
