The softness is so nice. Great shot of man's/woman's best friend. |

i think tank is gorgous, he could be part newf ;) i think this is almost perfect, if not for the over bright background, not to critisize, cause i used to never pay attention to that until i started getting reviews a year ago! since than i have learned a lot! esp with white and black dogs, shooting them on overcast days is best.
do you have a polarizer on your lens? it may help on those days you want to shoot when it is sunny.
otherwise it is a gorgous portrait, and if i were you, i would still enter my pet as portrait! |

This is awesome, Judy! You are getting great at those filters. It has the same softness and appeal your RAIN entry had. This definitely would warrent a frame and hang on the wall!
Tank: Good boy! |

I love this as a portrait. He does look quite noble. And I would have been happy to see more non-humans in the portrait challenge. I wonder if you could have gone a little darker or possibly upped the contrast a little. I love that you can tell he is sitting by the window waiting for someone! |

Yes, gorgeous color portrait :) And Tank is very, very handsome. Flat coated retriever maybe? I like the wistful feel to this, like he's gazing outo the window waiting for you to come home and play! I like the softness of the background and the glow of his fur. Definitely a "hang on the wall" shot |

Ahem...nice COLOR PORTRAIT here. There's something noble and grand about the dog. I do like the contrasting foreground and background. |
