I took this photo to practice different f stops and shutter speeds at 8am. I am tring to get away from using auto. Do you have any suggestions on how I could have made this better?

I like it. Suggestions to try: clone out the power lines, a tad of contrast adjustment, up the green saturation a wee bit, try to bring some texture out of the sky (mask the ground and do curves and/or friends only on the sky). I like the subject matter and really like how the branches look like trees themselves, if the tree is still there maybe another shot to enhance that feel from some other angle (but that's me and I wasn't there when you were there and didn't see what you saw). Overall, nice.
