To my untrained eye, the lighting seems really harsh and she seems to have some really strong...red lines along her cheek and down along her arm.

zooming in on the head would - imho - probably help (as well as a bit of exposure compensation to enhance contrast)

The eyes are great but the direct sun in her face makes the image appear flat. Lighting just a bit too harsh for me.

looks like there is some color problems on her arm and face, where the shadow meets the light.
