My first thought was train tracks but as I was walking to the local moorlands I passed this long ditch along side a farmers field, due to the hot summer we have just had what normaly is a very wet and boggy area was very dry. I took this shot just to show my kids as I knew they would not belive me but when i loaded it up i decided to use his image instead of my original idea.

Would be interested in seeing the colour version because from here, it's unsure if the B&W treatment has added or detracted from it. There's some punch missing, just not sure where - maybe you had to get down and dirty in the ditch :)

I like the slight curve that leads towards the corners of the photo. B&W was definitely the best choice for this too.

IMO - would like to see more contrast or in a duo-tri tone.
