Greetings from the Critique Club.
It's a good Conspiracy theme; the idea of unexplained barbed wire to prevent us from knowing what's going on back there. However, your image seems to me to suggest an old farm fence (which I guess it is). The conspiracy kind of barbed wire ought to be shiny, new and a couple of metres high; that's really sinister! The image itself, its challenge theme shortcomings aside, is a nice one. Good detail and composition. I think some more contrast might have made it look even stronger. That little fragment of wood hanging down in the centre adds nothing to the shot & could profitably have been cloned out. Better yet, broken off before you took the photograph! All in all, a very good idea, but not perhaps executed for maximum impact.

Why, indeed? I like the image but I think a little more contrast would have gone a long way in making it more interesting.

this photo is just lacking a subject. just having the barbed wire doesnt say enough.

I get the conspiracy idea (I think), but for me, compared to others in the challenge, the suject lacks the "wow" factor.

I'd like to see the highlights a little bit more subdued, and a little bit more contrast added. Depending on your editing program, since it was advanced editing you also might think about cloning out minor distractions like the little thing sticking up just to the left of the right-hand post.

Good DOF. Very clear details.
