You may wonder, what does this have to do with destinations? Well, under the boardwalk is a place. And reflections are a state of mind, so to speak. Everyone always reflects, genuflects, whatever, on what they have done in their life. Often we have regrets. Here is that place, that emotion, where you go when you regret what you did/thought/said.

Honestly not sure of what people are looking for here. But this is my take on the challenge. Hope it makes you think.

After the challenge!

Really interesting results. Many loved the image but had no idea what it had to do with destinations. People often see where they want to 'go' but not how they get there and what happens when they arrive. This is a look at the behind the scene destination. What happens when where you thought you wanted to be is not what you expected?

As for symmetry, there is symmetry in the image - the reflection and the real. Its just that sometimes the real isn't perfect like our desires want it to be.

I agree that this might not be the best for the theme but nonetheless, it's a striking image. I think the BW works well in this image alhough there's something about the middle part of the photo that doesn't seem right. I can't put my finger on it though :(

I love this picure, but who wants to be under a bridge/dock thing? I would score higher, but don't feel it fits the challenge well enough...

There are a lot of photos I take myself, and think I'm doing it symetrically, but when I get home, I see it's not perfect.

This photos reminds me of all the times. It's like all you needed was a step to the right and you'd be symetrical. Like this it just seems off, but it's still a really lovely image. Just would have much more impact the other way.

This shot would have faired much better in perspective. It's a great shot just a reach for destinations.

This would be a good study of lines and shapes. Trying it when there is different lighting, etc.

Great picture, but I really don't see how this relates to the topic.
