Greetings from the Critique Club!
Great concept on this shot. It gets the "point" across quite well (pun intended.) Great choice of green for the liquid.
How I think it could be stronger: The lighting in the back seems really harsh to me and the creases in the material add to that effect. Personally, I think the lighting needs a little work to lessen the glare of the nails, the harshness in back and perhaps light the hand just a bit -while still allowing light through the syringe.
I also think the harshness of the light adds to the slightly out of focus feeling I get looking at the photo. I would have preferred a really crisp, clear focus on the syringe. And lastly, I think it might have been interesting to have justa drop of the liquid hanging at the end of the needle. (yeah...how easy would that be? lol...but maybe worth a try.)
Overall, I really like the shot and just think it would benefit from a more polished and finished look in the details.

| Almost did the same shot, but became too busy with personal issues to enter this challenge. Yours would have been better than mine...great focus and composition. Simple yet speaks volumes -- 8 -- |

| Oh, this is too freaky. I truly hate shots. Good take on the challenge, good composition. I think a little more light on the hand might have helped make this stronger, but I'm not sure about that. |

| WOW this looks really sinister! I like the lighting (like the highlights on the nails) and what looks like selective desat. I cant make my mind up about the background, if it were plain white it'd be really boring, but I find the small creases (where its been folded) a bit distracting. Still its one of my favourites in the challenge. good luck! |

| This is a really nice shot, especially for the challenge. At first I thought the doc had a black glove on, but after looking a little harder I notice its only fingers. I don't really mind this, but I wish that the reflection off the fingernails wasnt quite so intesne. |

| The grain and OOF add to the picture in this case. (I bet you are getting somewhat hammered though. DPC doesn't take kindly to OOF) The syringe is sharp though and that's all that matters. 7 |

| I would hate to find out what that green liquid is :) The hotspots in your nails is a bit of a distraction but the sepia toning is a great add! |

| This is creepy. The green works perfectly to add to the sinister aspect of it. Not sure about the reflection on the two bottom fingers, but I like the rest of the shot alot. |
