Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil (& fellow Michiganian)

Composition - Well I don't really know what I'm looking at and your description is not helping me either. Looks to me like Elmers glue and some slime. That is relatively irrelevant what exactly the components are. The glass on this one seems too centered and I don't really like the perspective you chose to portray this. I think shooting this from top of glass level or even underneath it a little would make it a bit more interesting. A little splash of color in the whole pic is not really enough for me. There seems to be little of interest things besides the green part. The shadow going diagonally behind the glass is a bit distracting. Something on the back of the glass is just about glowing whether its a glare or some of the funky white stuff.

Technical - Looks pretty well taken. maybe just a little underexposed but just a fuzz if any. Focus is pretty good. Really seems like there isn't anything wrong with the way this picture is taken. My feeling is, if you didn't know what you were doing, you probably wouldn't own a D100.

Overall - Not a bad shot, but not very compelling. A few distractions here and there. It needs more colorful vibrant stuff. Like that little bit of green does not breathe life into the whole picture. It needs more than that methinks. Well, good luck and keep shooting. - Inspzil

This is a nice shot. I would have liked to see a little more done with the lighting & background. Good job!

The green liquid (paoint?) gives this image color in a way that fits the challenge very well.

background.....dark. pic look dull.

I like it! Very interesting take on the assignment. The only thing I would change is having the background further from the glass. That way, you wouldn't see where the background and bottom surface meet one another.

Nice - the whole picture is framed well and has nice colors - although I would have liked more brilliance in the glass.

Well, that's... different. Interesting; I'm sure there'll be other paint photos but probably none anything like this. I like the colour choice as it's reminiscent of the martini+olive and would guess that's deliberate (or your serendipity levels are up). I think I would have preferred w/o the coaster or saucer.
