I thought about this challenge a lot. I'm really not certain where I'll be in the near future. But one thing is for sure It's Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth.
I'm not certain how the DPC community will take this image. It's a bit poetic if I may say so - not quite certain how this will score but I like the image and the way it's been edited.
There were no clouds that day and a bit of fog creeping in so I had to resort to what some poeple do - burn the clouds! I just hope this doesn't bomb!
Editing:
- adjust hues and saturation
- burn ( a whole lot of burn)
- dodge to highlight one part of the tree
- crop
- save for web

This looks like a toy set with a blue back ground? |

The color treatment makes me feel like it's a different planet - something almost surreal. |

Interesting shot, but I think the dodge/burn technique could use a little work. |

pushing the limit on adding the rays using dodge tool. It puts something in the photos that just wasn't there. I pulled mine before the contest for the same reason exactly. |

Very nice. I like the light streaming down on the single shrub. The sky color is lovely. This is great use of the rule of thirds as well. |
