This man had about 6 young wives, all died in childbirth. Many of his children died before the age of 3. His "servents" are buried there too.

This site has Margret Mitchtell's (Gone with the Wind) family buried there. They were from Ireland and buried their "servents" nearby also.

Thanks for the comments and advice. As always, I really appreciate it. I guess I am finally improving as my last 2 entries finished with 5's! Yeah! Hope I can keep going up!

DPC ROCKS!

It would be nice to isolate a head stone a bit.

Sobering but true. Not sure about why you chose to focus on the fancy iron rather than the cemetery.

I didn't enter this but this was exactly the thought I had. Good job.

I was thinking about doing a graveyard shot for this as well but I didn't have the time.

The shot is pretty decent but the border is too large for my taste. Also, it might look better in black and white or at night when the colors are duller. When I think of cemetaries I think dark and moody, and I'm not sure if this image has the right mood. Also, maybe try a different perspective; it looks a little awkward for some reason (maybe its just me).

Hope my comment was helpful =D

Too busy. Is the gate supposed to be the focal point?

nice concept, just not a winning image. i find the gate is distracting to the actual graveyard.5

I think you need greater deapth of field on this one. Also, the black border drags things down.

I like the black border and black gate. Good concept on the challenge.

I like the DOF and the angle of this shot. The detail of the scroll work of the gate is good. The light is nice and not too harsh.
