There were hundreds of these spiders between the trees. They often occur in pairs like this. The body of the larger one is almost an inch long.

Golden Orb Weavers...we have them in Florida too. The larger spider is the female. The smaller ones in the web (can be 5 or more at times) are the males. Great capture getting both of them in focus in the frame.

eeeeekkkk, his legs give me the willies - these garden spiders do get quite huge.
