I have to say, I am really surprised that this did not do better. I was looking for it in the top ten! I gave it a ten because it showed creativity and IMHO was well shot. Congrats on a great photograph. |

I like your idea, but your model needs to be in focus as the point of interest with the bubble, especially with the apparent make-up. This could have been a very interesting shot with a little more work. |

Very nice use of color. The makeup color and the bubble color enhance each other very well. Liked the softness of the face as well. Very nice job. 10 |

Interesting image. Nice composition. I love the match between the bubble and the makeup but it also draws me in and makes me strain to see more details of the model, which makes me wish the lighting wasn't so soft on her face. This was probably needed of course because the bubble is clearly the focus, but a little more fill light on the left might still have allowed some of the model's details in without fighting with the bubble. In fact it may have added more fill to the left side of the bubble bringing out the lovely metallic pastel color of it. I gave a 6. |

This photo has good potential. I like that it plays on the "Sleeping Beauty" fable. The positives of this shot: I like how the soft pink and slight blue hues seen on the bubble compliment those same colors on the models eyelid. They appear to have the same shades and this further establishes a connection between the two objects. This photo plays with the story Sleeping Beauty but it is Sleeping Bubbles.
The negatives: The dark background behind the models head in not complementary to the photo - To further establish the connection to the tale of Sleeping beauty you could have done several things : shown us her hair gently curled on a pillow or just a colorful pillow that would have brighted up the space AND complimented the color schemes already present in the photo. There is a little too much overexposure or show of the flash on the lower right hand side of the bubble: it washes out those beautiful soft pastel hues of pink and blue not to mention distracts the eye. And lastly, it would have been lovely to have seen those lovely eyelashes more sharply focused so that it makes an even stronger connection to the words sleep and beauty. |

I like the idea, but something is wrong. Lighting? Contrast? The focus point is on the edge of the bubble. Why is that? |

Hey Rachel! I think this is really good. I like how the bubble matches your makeup. |

great colours. the girls skin is a little too grainy i think it detracts from the texture of the bubble. |
