This definately fits the challenge. Your focus is good but you may want to try a shallower dof to blurr the background somewhat. As I look at it the silver colander in the background is very distracting.
The container of syrup is just a little to dark on the left side and could use a tad more light. In all it is a very good take on the liquid challenge and with just a few minor corrections would be outstanding.

| Beautiful and clear. Great colors, compostion, lighting. How perfect it would be without the window and colander distracting the main theme. |

| The color of the liquid makes it seem warm and alilve, reinforcing the liquidity. The contrast of the lined surface beneath the can and the clean lines and distinct areas of the can help to emphasize the liquid's nature. The out of focus mixing bowl also reinforces liquidity with is flowing lines and refections. |

| Mmmmm.... tasty! You just reminded me that I haven't had any of this stuff since I left South Africa nearly 10 years ago. As for the shot, your color is quite nice, and I like the presentation of the liquid itself. The crop seems a bit narrow (my opinion only), and I'm not sure about the window and bowl in the background; perhaps a bit distracting from the focus of your shot. Overall, though, quite nicely shot. |

| Very ad-like photo, particularly given the stainless steel underneath which is very commercial-kitchen looking. Meets the challenge. |
