"The sky was the color of a television tuned to no channel," said William Gibson ... but really it's the sound of a television tuned to no channel that many of us are more familiar with.

Ok, so it got down to the wire and I had nothing to submit. :-> But it was a decent try. I'm away from my usual editing tools, so I know it's pixely and weird and uck, but it's a submission, darnit. I will prophesy: final score in the low 4s. :-> Hope I'm wrong, but don't seriously think so.

This definately meet the challenge as it portrays "White Noise" beyond fitting the challenge there isn't a lot to say about it. I tend to agree with the comments left behind it is just to dark and not all that interesting.

You would have improved greating if the lighting was a little strong and crop in more on just the picture from the tv.

I did read your comment and I know the feeling too it just sucks to not have a submission! You did a pretty good critique of it too. Nice try on a last minute attempt and as someone said in the comments...nice experiment. I agree cause it could work if it weren't so dark.

While this picture does bring, at least to this third shifter, the feeling of sound, I donĂ¢€™t really find it appealing. Sorry just my opinion. I gave it a 4

This picture gives me a sense of stressed emotion.... knowing the sound of that "stand by" noise when I don't wish to hear it.

It definitely meets the challenge, but there is little there to hold my attention. I do like how the blue jumps out from the rest of the picture.

Okay! Yes, this definitely meets the challenge. The clutter on the left is a little distracting, as is the doorway. The TV actually having a visible antenna is good emphasis the subject, although, heh, you may not have had a choice there (I used to think I was the last person in the wired world without cable, but maybe I was mistaken). (Also, I have it now.) (Well, directTV, and it's not like you care about this at all, but I got 2 hours of sleep, which tends to make for the occasional bizarre comments.)

Anyhow. Cropped to get rid of the left clutter would lose you part of the antenna, so I suppose I'd recommend a slightly different angle for a bit more impact, but overall I like the idea.

Very dark image with not much of interest to view. Fits the challenge well, though.

Oh i hate this sound :P I can feel the sound here but the photo is too dark, and honestly not much to grab interest.

Really, really clever. Strange that this pictures evokes 'sound' better than almost any other submission.
