I find a connection in the hard aluminum can and the pompous latin title.

Crop, increased contrast, darkening, film grain, glow.

It seems to me that clever and talented people don't have much of a chance in these competitions... other's lack of culture, vision, understanding and basic artistic education makes it hard to be appreciated as deserved. This is a very good and original shoot, and because of the ignorance reigning here (e.g. commentaries such as the ones below... well, some of them) your rating is very low. I am really sorry and this is true also for other beatiful shots who scored very low: see Old and New, Milk delivery etc. Instead, I noticed trivial and ordinary stuff rated very high... COngrats anyway and keep it that way!

Classical...title and image...how brave you are...can't wait see how the "humans" of DPC are voting on this entry, or should I say the title...personally, I like it..I like it alot...fantastic textures and light.

Interesting...It's almost film noir-ish looking. Very "Sin City"... I like it. Compelling...

Am not sure what this is and I don't understand the title - I didn't mark you down for misinterpretation. Looks interesting though. Nice detail on the right but a bit grainy in the background.

It took me a few seconds to figure out what the object was, then it dawned on me. Interesting take on the beverage challenge. The white highlights are a little overdone to me, but I like the use of black and white.
