I don't get why the "brown ribbon" is this sought after. I've never given out a "1" - I don't feel I have a choice in this case. Best Wishes for the "brown" :)
I am bumping this up to a 2 because I feel guilty giving out a 1 when it does meet the challenge, and if you were not trying for the 'brown" - my apologies. |

| Great idea, but there is no part of the image that is in focus, to provide a resting place for the viewer's eye. |

| Looks like the heel is in better focus than the toes. I would have preferred focused toes. :) |

| Sorry, but this really isn't a very good shot. Clearly, the focus is horribly poor, but besides that, it's just not very ineteresting. Also, the framing is poor, as the big toe is not even fully visible. |

(I'm making an attempt to explain why I give any photo 3 or less. Obviously I won't like these photos, but DPC is a place to learn a) about what works in this environment and b) about what other individuals think. Please don't be despondant just because I don't like your shot. Rather than that, if your entry scored low, please try and understand one commentor's reasons.)
Feeling charitable, I gave this a 2.
Okay, here I go: It's ugly, out of focus, has a hard flash reflection. Nice composition, though. I've been at DPC too long not to think that that you're deliberately going for the brown ribbon, but I'm not sure. |

I understand the idea, but maybe you should have use the closeup function on your camera so that you could see the foot... and that it just wasn't a giant blur.
