Since the contest is over, you may want to re edit this image to just the ball and square building. Then clone out the bit of light in the sky by the ball and reduce the whole to being just the two geometric forms. The ball, even by itself is a treat.

I wish this had done better in the challenge. The composition here is very well done. The basically black background is perfect for your main subject - really lets it stand out. I really like the contrast with the lit building - gives it a great balance. Very nice shot and very well done! |

This is really interesting. It's like the ball is suspended in mid air. I like the roundness of it with the squar geometry of the building. Cool lighting to make this work. |
