 Set up the tripod on my stove beneath the range hood light. Set a glass atop a lit flashlight to catch the syrup. Attached 2 clamp lights to the cupboard doors and shot 1/2 a dozen shots. Neat imaged, PhotoShop 4-pass USM (20 percent, rad. 100; 20 percent, rad. 20; 30 percent, rad. 4; 90 percent, rad. 0.6), cropped and bordered. This was an 11th hour submission. Hope it fares better than my last one that way.

Greetings from the critique club.
I think this is a fine photo. Simple and clean composition with no extraneous clutter. Although the sream is slender, it still is the center of attention.
Your lighting is fantastic! The extra effort you made paid off in a vg image. It was well thought out and executed.
The bg being black works very well here. What did you use for the bg?
The processing you did with Neat Image and PS worked just fine. The image is crisp and clean with no noise or jaggies.
This is a picture to be proud of. I like it very much.
Keep up the good work. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.

beautifully photographed, but there's something missing...there's no 'punch' to the subject matter; the eye isn't drawn to study the imagery in a curious manner.

So little of the shot is on the liquid here... it's too bad you couldn't get a larger stream.

Lighting is good - though could perhaps have been a little more even and then you wouldn't have had to slightly over=expose for the bottle top. The extra drip on the neck and the mess in the open top seem a little out of place in such an otherwise clean shot.
