shot at the hollywood rapids on the james river which flows through richmond, va. richmond is the ONLY city in america with class IV white water running through it.

pp: cropped, adjusted levels, curves, hue/sat, sized, saved for web.

A pretty cool action shot. Exposure and focus are pretty good. I like the angle and framing you've used. The water flow and the kayak go nicely vertical left to right through the shot, I think this helps create a good sense of movement and action, you get a good feel of what's going on. Placement of the subject is good, and with the color of the boat, my attention is definitely drawn to it.

I can't say of ways to improve, I've not had experience doing action shots like this. It looks pretty good to me. I read your comment about people 'getting' it. I've looked and looked, to see if there is something about it that I'm not seeing :-) (if there is, let me know, I'm curious)
