 This was shot on the corner where I actually live. The fog was about to burn off as the sun set over the ocean. The first street lamp came on and I thought it would make a good shot for the challenge, since this shot is literally from my corner of the world.

This image, I feel, is pretty brilliant, and it's just too bad that voters probably didn't look at it hard enough, or they just found it not as vacuously pretty as others. Nice gradation of light and use of silhouettes.

I like how the light shows up and looks like a half moon, its a pitty that you couldn't get some light to show in the other ones to complete the picture
but still a good 7

Good colours, interesting seeing this in such a narrow portrait crop. The blown out clouds near the bottom are a bit distracting.
