not a very strong example of selective desaturation here, i'm afraid. the face of the person seem to be the focus point, and thus, the red on his arm is just "distraction" more than interesting. i'm sorry, but its my opinion on this particular photo. |

I like the selective desat. And I AM a fan of it. :) Just having the red is like a drop of blood. Very profound and telling, it conveys the emotion you are looking for IMO. |

mehh to be honest I think it's confusing. Red is the color that draws the eye most in every photo...My eye isn't sure if it is supposed to look at the tattoo, or the dudes face, which appears to be the subject of the photo.
Take into account I'm not a big fan of selective desaturation though. |

Interesting angle, like you're trying to "get in his head" which I like. The single color saturation works on this one. Nice crisp focus. Black and white works well here. |
