 Ahhh, the smell of coffee. Delicious.



I used Crop, grayscale, brigtness/contrast,unsharp mask, and save for web.

In my opinion no technique is tired unless you use to much of it. You have not. May be Oleeyo has, although he has not submitted any fotographs to dpchallenge. Do what you want to do, don´t let anyone tell you what is "in" and what is "out" or "tired".

P.S. you look older on your profile photo :-)

The entire shot is slightly out of focus, which is really distracting for me. Otherwise an interesting shot, but I'm not sure I like it. I get the idea, but something's off to me.

Very cool and imaginative lighting. I would like to see this in color though to warm it up. The B&W seems to make it seem more haunting and contradicts the look on subjects face and the inviting title.

your model's face is beautiful. i would be interested in seeing this image explore the sense of smell in other ways...perhaps adding a steam element and softening the lighting?

i like the idea here.. i like the black and white... however i wish you would have made it more obvious that it was coffee somehow and perhaps the face of an adult would be more effective because its usually adults that cherish their morning brew
