 Gathered up my courage to finally submit something. Now to start voting too. :)

Taken this morning in the mist. Adjusted the histogram to compensate for forgetting to grab my filter bag on the way out the door....

It's a very pretty shot / scene, but it could stand to be somewhat brighter, especially if we're tring to see the green and red.

Complementary colours are pairs of colours that contrast strongly when compared to each other.
The colours in this photo are so desaturated that the effect of complementary colours is lost. Your image demonstrates a duotone effect rather than the effect of complementary colours.

Check some of the forum discussions on complementary colours for suggestions on using colour for contrast.

There's too much grey/blue and black to distinguish the red and green.

hmm...I like the composition. I'm just not sure the red stands out enough to be considered the complimentary two colors. The blue and the green are more prominent to me.

For me, this photo is too dark overall to really get a good sense of complementary green and red as indicated by your title. The landscape itself looks nice, and good composition, but I wish there was a bit more light and less shadows/darkness.

maybe it's my monitor, but the colors seem awfully muted. Nice composition, though. Also nice mood, very peaceful.

A bit dark which works well to remind us winter is on its way Great reflections and nicely layed out. Would have liked it to be just a tad sharper but overall its a very good shot. Well done.

The main colors here seem to be blue and red. I think there should be more green. Lovely shot though.
