Intersting. But it looks a little like they are in a somewhat "questionable" position. The white background compliments the dark wood very nicely.

More woodwork than straight carpentry, IMO. Nice high key exposure.

image would have more impact if in a more natural setting. white background makes it look like it belongs in a catalog.

This doesn't saw "carpentry" to me as much as it says "wood carving". Don't know if there's a magazine for that though. : )

Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. Wouldn't carpentry magazine have like houses and hammers and stuff? I'm not familiar with the magazine but having what looks like a religious or authentic piece prolly isn't what one would see on the front of the carpentry magazine... thats just my opinion though and maybe I'm wrong. I don't think you met the challenge here at all... it's basically just a picture of someone elses' art work. Sorry.
