 An homage to Pixar.
The setup was pretty easy, of course I made it more difficult by not having real equipment. Instead of having a slave flash, I just take my 420EX off the camera and fire it manually during the picture (I didn't like the lighting with the flash on camera...but with this cheap method I have no control over exposure etc.)

Post-process: levels, contrast, selective desat, USM.

This is a great image Doc and a true homage to Pixar :) The image itself has a lot of "personality" to it :) Great job!

Nice use of color, though it detracts away from "personified" just a litte in that you notice the animal first, not the lamps personality. Still, one of my favorites and voting high!

Well thought out shot. Don't know about the subject he is looking at or the dark space on the right. I tried to do a similar shot and had problem getting lighting right as well. Despite this it is still a good shot.

At first I put this down as a 6 but now looking again it is full of life with a nice sharp image and some color to boot so now im going for 8

This is so cute! I think the whole Pixar animation thing helps the lamp shots come to life. A good shot.
