Marc; Personally I think this deserved an extremely higher finish. You were robbed on this one. Keep up the great work. |

Read comments you received, wondering why no one saw personification. To me this was personification at its best. I gave you a 9...should have given you a 10...sorry about that :( |

This is an excellent image Marc. Nothing to be ashamed of. I think what this image lacked was a captivating title. Without your comments, I wouldn't have realized what you were trying to convey here. |

Fantastic closeup study of the chess pieces, but I don't get the feeling of personification from this image. |

The shades of blue really sets the tone for this photo. I think the two pieces in the foreground, being a bit blurred distracts from the overall image. The pawn also seems too large for the opponents pieces. Overall a exceptionally good shot. Congrats! "9" |

I can't really see the personification here. (I had to look up the word...chess, I believe). However, I think it's technically and compositionally an excellent picture so I gave it a 5. |

I don't know what Echecs means in English, but I like your photo. ;^) Great use of a very commonly personified 'inanimate' object. This is well composed, lit brilliantly, and has a nice DOF feel to it with the foreground pieces placed as they are.
Bumping this up. Good luck in the challenge. |
