Greetings from the critique club.
I'm happy this photo came up for me to discuss, as it was one of my favorites in the challenge.
A very nice, and different point of view from the usual wedding photos. Terrific DOF, and the use of sepia gives it a nice, warm feeling for me. You successfully captured a celebration moment that is easily recognizable by any viewer.
Congratulations on your finish and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future - you're quite talented. |

A nice candid shot, just two things I would have liked better if they were otherwise and that is that I would have preferred if one of the faces were also in the DOF and not just the hand and also if the whole head of the bride were in the frame. Other than that though this is a nice candid shot and I think you made a good choice making this sepia and it´s very fitting for the challenge. 7 from me. |

A superb shot because I can't tell if it's staged or if you just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Outstanding either way. 8 |

great photo. makes me happy to look at. love how happy everyone feels in this image. interesting choice of having the hand/pen be the only thing in focus--puts the official act right in the foreground. i really like this...the composition, the warmth of color treatment, the dof, nicely done! (and congrats to the happy couple!) |

It is a nice capture, but one that could be greatly strenthened by the happy couple in the background being more sharply in focus. The main thing in focus is the gentleman's hand signing the document in the foreground. And while that is pivital to the scene, so are the smiles on the faces of all three people who are in this shot. Closing down the aperature to perhaps 8 or higher (ASA would need adjustment to that setting if you are doing it manually) would get you a sharper in focus background as well as the foreground. I love the smiling faces here in this shot and would like to have seen them much more clearly and vividly. I also think that you cropped the frame too tightly such that that we only get to see half of the beautiful smiling face of the bride. |

Oh this is clever, with the minister signing the marriage certificate. Great DOF with the blurred smiling bride and groom. Clever. |
