 Cause for celebration: not being in a can!
My first attempt at painting with light.
Aperture: F4
Shutter: 5.0"
ISO: 100
Adjustments: cloned out a bright spot and seam in the bacground. no other adjustments.(i like the richness of the picture, and the softness of the can against the pumpkin.

and after this image scored my personal worst...
lessons learned post-challenge:
- people don't seem to go for oblique challenge interpretations. they want the image to be an obvious interpretation. my sense of humor does not translate as obvious to many viewers...so remember that!
- people don't like long titles, or titles that add meaning to the picture. they want the picture to stand on its own. this picture, standing on its own, would not shout "celebrate" to me. i agree with that.
- background and foreground could have been lighter to bring out more texture.
- try putting a warm filter over the mini mag next time to warm up the feel of the pic.
- but most importantly, keep shooting photos to please myself and not what i think people want to see on this website!

I like the lighting and the deep rich color tones. Have to admit though, the challenge theme connection was a stretch for me - I scored it a 5. Focus is a tad soft and I think the composition is a little top heavy, but still a solid stock shot.

I think I would have liked it without the can, but of course that would have been a totally different picture. Great use of light and background.

A simple composition that I think works okay. The pumpkin is a bit too orange (at least on my screen. Good product endorsement for Libby's too :-)

LOL! The lighting is a bit harsh here and the orange seems too orange. Great concept though :)

not really getting the title or the photo, but eiether way...its just an average photo. if you celebrate with pumpkin pie, show us in the photo..not just a pumkin and a can, it needs more.5

Not a fan of long titles. The photo isn't quite as tack sharp as I'd like, although the lighting is good. And I do love that pumpkin pie!!!
