Creative and unique! I love the expression on the model's face! Very romantic! That slight curl of hair really makes this photo come to life--nice touch! |

Just from the thumbnails, this ismy favourite of the week. It's original, and I like the line of the lady's neck against the blackness. lovely! |

A 9, though it could have been ten for me if it didn't seem so blown-out, exposure-wise. As it is, it's clinging to the bottom of nine with its fingernails, to me; however, the overall image is so appealing that I had to grade it up from 8 on beauty. |

Sometimes (!) I run into a photo with apparent flaws (contrast, lighting, focus...), when compared to the familar and usually sensible ways of photography.
Here, IMO, we have a photograph that relies very little on any extraneous codec. Everything is as it should be. It is, in short, a photo to be studied and learnt from.
The tension (dynamics) created between the 'frivolous' clips, the dignified (sorrowful?) face (a 'telling' mouth) and the hard and dry manner is what makes this an outstanding photo. The sculptural (bust-) effect achieved by blending the dress into the background and the very deliberate composition (the partial face) are extreme and cannot be done better.
I bow.

this reminds me of those classic "debeers" diamond ads. What a great and creative way to meet the challenge. I love the bw treatment, its utterly classic. Contrast is a bit high as parts of her skin look a tad blown, but otherwise, very cool! |

It is amazing how many people see clips as art. You at least gave them a purpose beyond the mundane. Work with them all day wear them to dinner at night. :))) |

Very orginal idea, I like it just the focus appears to have gotten soft near the bottome of the paperclip necklace. |

Sharp photo, but low contrast between her skin the the paper clips. Photo seems a tad bit grainy, esp. the upper neck area. (backspaced color idea) 7 Rob the Swash |

Very nice shot. Excellent composition. Original use of paperclips. Lovely hair detail. Too bad the skin seems to have so much grain in it... I wonder where it comes from? 8 |

Nice picture, I like the way her top blends right into the background... shes got them in both ears? Seems like I can just see the other side, maybe its my monitor. All in all a very nice shot. Good luck. |

Hey!! I used to do this as a kid!! I can see where some bored secretary on a quiet day could get carried away, so I guess it meets challenge. I don't like how the paperclips don't really stand out. The skin tone seems very washed out. Perhaps this would have been better in color where you would have natural skin tone. That's just my thoughts 4 Good luck in the challenge. |
