While I understand your title, the photo itself doesn't personify the human heart or endow the engines with personficiation in my understanding of the challenge guidelines.

I know what your getting at but it doesn't really work for me. Good shot for industry or mechanical.

the light is too hard and shadows too sharp. give this a red glow (like a heart) and softer light and it might work just fine. better luck next time

I like your interpretation of the challenge. Did you attempt to take the shot with slightly less light? I'm just thinking the 'heart' wouldn't normally be in such stark, clinical brightness (unless it was having surgery). It is a fine technical shot that, in my opinion, addresses the challenge very well. I like it.
