 I was its first one, my fridge still smells. Couldn't decide on title "Lurking in the darkness" "Suicide Bomber" and "Awaiting the ambush".

Im not good with B and W, post-processing, or photography in general so I would greatly appreciate all input on how I could have done this better.

I must say, I think my take on personification was a bit different from many. I went with the literary interpretation of a the word ie: "the fire licked the walls" "the branches clawed at me" etc. I think I made a mistake here, I should have done the shot where I find an object that looks like something, that seems like the more widely accepted interpretation. My apologies for submitting a picture not relevant to the challenge theme.

Much discussion went into this shot. But the consensus is that the portrait of personification did not make it. It is a little clutters and the door is damaged.

A cute application of personification. The technicals are tough. The composition is hard to make interesting in basic editing (you can't clone out some of the ugliness of the fridge). I don't like the huge black area either. 5

looked more like a suicide attempt. "If any one comes closer I'll jump!!" Poor guy was only half (and half) there. Anyway... Very nice contrast and use of shadow. Creates a dark mood. I am a little distracted by the clutter but you should see my fridge.
